Tickets for Katherine Jenkins 2021 UK tour are available here. VIP packages available here.
2021 will also see Katherine tour internationally performing in the US, Japan, Taiwan, China, the UAE, Australia and New Zealand before returning to the UK.
Katherine says, “I spent the vast majority of the pandemic doing weekly live performances from my home on social media to support the NHS and to show love for my fans and everyone going through such a difficult time. I also did it for myself and for my own well being because nothing feels better than performing live. That same spirit is what I promise to bring to this forthcoming tour, my first in more than 2 years. After what we’ve all been through we have earned and deserve a night of joy.”
Confirming her position as the biggest selling classical artist this century, Katherine broke her own Classical Chart record when her latest album, ‘Cinema Paradiso’ topped the Classical Albums Chart.
Cinema Paradiso is Katherine’s 14th Number 1 Classical album, making her the UK's most successful classical artist in chart history. The latest album also became her highest charting album in over a decade, outselling the rest of the Classical Top 50 combined.
Katherine Jenkins is cherished as one of Britain’s all-time favourite singers and is one of the world’s most prolific artists in UK Classical chart history. She was also crowned as the No.1 selling 'Classical Music Artist of the Last 25 Years’ by Classic FM.
As one of the UK’s greatest musical exports, multi-award winning Katherine has performed all over the world, for the Pope, for Presidents and is a favourite of the Royal Family, having been invited to sing 'God Save The Queen' at Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee, perform at Her Majesty's Coronation Concerts at Buckingham Palace and by special request at Her Majesty's 90th birthday celebrations at Windsor Castle. She has embarked upon numerous sold out tours and duetted with such names as Andrea Bocelli, José Carreras, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Bryn Terfel, Rolando Villazon, and Il Divo, amongst others.
Katherine was awarded an OBE at the 2014 New Year’s Honours List for her services to music and charity and wowed audiences and critics alike with her stellar performance as Julie Jordan in Lonny Price’s semi-staged production of Carousel at the London Coliseum in 2017.
During lockdown, while homeschooling her children, Katherine brought some much needed light performing every Saturday night live online from her house with the help of her family. The successful at home concerts, amassed over 5 million views and reached a global audience.
Katherine also joined forces with the late Dame Vera Lynn to release a duet of 'We'll Meet Again', which went on to top the iTunes chart when released. 100% of Katherine Jenkins and Decca Records’ proceeds from the single were donated to NHS Charities Together to support the incredible NHS staff and volunteers caring for COVID-19 patients.
On 8th May, Katherine led tributes to commemorate VE Day 75, and made history by becoming the first person in its 150 years to perform to an empty Royal Albert Hall. The half-hour performance was streamed to audiences around the world via YouTube. The concert, to date, raised over £30k for SSAFA and £25k for The Royal Albert Hall. The concert brought a message of hope and togetherness, with a virtual duet of ‘We’ll Meet Again’ with Dame Vera Lynn – a message that has resonated around the nation as people are again separated from their loved ones at a time of crisis.
Katherine recently starred in the hit film ‘Minamata’, which received its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival with glowing reviews from the film industry and fans alike. This film not only sees Katherine star in her first movie role, but she also co-wrote the film’s end credit song, ‘One Single Voice’ with Eminem’s right hand woman Skylar Grey, and performed on the film score written by Sakamoto, the Academy Award winner, singer, songwriter, record producer, activist, and actor. ‘Minamata’ is yet another example of why Katherine is one of the world’s most prolific artists - a true example of her multifaceted talents.
“It was an honour to be a part of Ryuichi’s beautiful Minamata score,” adds Katherine of her inclusion on the soundtrack. “Collaborating with this master with the goal to bring voice to the Minamata patients and the countless others affected by industrial pollution was an inspiring experience which I will always cherish."
