Ross chilling out after his One Night Only show last week

Ross Henson’s One Night Only Stand Up show, Don't Take It Personal, kicked off perfectly with compere Judi Love taking charge.  A lady with lots of saucy style - big fun, big personality and a big voice, thinking nothing of flirting with male audience members and warming the audience up with her excellent observational jokes covering crime, lifestyles, pregnancy and men.  A great way to start the evening followed by Philippic Beatbox who's beatboxing skills were excellent, a truly talented yet humble performer with a  good rapport with the audience.  He gave an outstanding performance.  David Alfie Ward, a good observational stand up - although perhaps a little too crude for this particular audience and possibly more suited to a working men’s club or stag night.  An all round good bloke though and very funny.  Anyone interested in keeping abreast of his work should go and like his Facebook page.  He will be doing a coast to coast tour documentary of the USA called Just Popping to the Store and for all info on this click here

And so on to the top billed comedian of the night, Ross Henson.  A great comedian, with a very obvious “entertainer” background, he incorporated some self choreographed wacky dancing into his routine along with some self-written comedy songs (rapping) as part of his introduction and close. 

His comedic style is quite unique but had reminiscent flashes of a combination of Lee Evans and Michael McIntyre with quite a ‘zany’ twist.  A really entertaining guy and a great evening of comedy.  Highly recommended.
