A 48 Hour comedy soap opera set in the fantasy land of Middle Mirth!
The 4th annual Southend 48 Hour Improvathon plays at Trinity Football and Social Club, Southend, from 7pm Friday 31st March to 7pm Sunday 2nd April.
Like binge watching a brand new series, we’ll bring you 24 continuous two hour episodes of fantastical adventure, legendary comedy and magical romance! Think Game of Thrones or Lord of The Rings meets Friends! Audience are encouraged to fully immerse themselves in the weekend party by dressing up, packing a sleeping bag and enjoying our themed cocktails!
This year we extend to 48 hours, having performed three 24 hour improvathons previously, raising over £2000 for charity. 2023 will be an epic challenge of endurance and play for all involved, audience and company alike!
With a crack team of 40 improvisers including comedy legends John Oakes & Lee Tearrell, Russell Kane tour support Ross McGrane, winner of Extreme Improv’s Worldwide Championship 2020 Ashley Edwards and director Ali James of Olivier Award winning Showstopper! - The Improvised Musical and Mischief Theatre’s Magic Goes Wrong, this show is sure to be one hilarious unexpected adventure! Don’t miss your chance to be part of the fellowship!
Episodes start on odd numbered hours: 7pm, 9pm, 11pm, 1am, etc (throughout two nights).
The 1-3pm episode on Saturday and Sunday (1st & 2nd April) will be family-friendly. For all other episodes the guideline is 14+.
The 1-3am & 3-5am on Saturday 1st and the 9-11am episode on Sunday 2nd will be specially curated Dungeons and Dragons RPG episodes, led by Games Master Jonathan Jacomb, the audience roll huge dice for our characters’ fate.
Episodes cost £5. Full weekend and full day passes are available and limited. Tickets are available on Eventbrite now.
