Stephen Bailey is the new, must see comedian for 2017, when he hits the road with his debut show Nation’s Sweetheart from February.  His sharp, warm and sassy take on life tunes into our day-to-day lives with his razor sharp wit and intelligence as he tackles the art of conversation.  With so much social media have we forgotten how to just sit and engage with each other on a human level? Are we still able to express ourselves in more than 140 characters?

Fresh from appearances on ITV2's Safeword, Channel 5’s Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On the Side & It's Not Me, It's You, and supporting Katherine Ryan on her UK tour, Stephen takes to the road in his quest to be crowned the nation’s sweetheart.  Expect stories of dating disasters, family lunacy and celebrity put-downs, which we can all relate to, as he explores ALL the tales that we are not posting on Facebook..

Stephen’s style is 'warm and affectionate yet no less biting in its wit' (The Gay UK), which made him the perfect choice to host Stonewall's 25th Anniversary Party. Stephen is a vocal supporter of LGBT rights.  In 2015 he was nominated for the Amused Moose Comedy Award (Best Show) at the Edinburgh Fringe.

As well as being a working-class, ginger, gay, northern comic, he is also a black belt in Tae Kwon-Do, has a degree in Languages AND loves a conspiracy theory (preferably involving a celebrity  and a cucumber).

In a very busy 2016 Stephen appeared on the following shows: Codswallop (ITV2), Safeword (ITV2), It's Not Me, It's You (Channel 5) The Funny Thing About (Channel 5), When TV Goes Wrong (Channel 5), When Magic Goes Wrong (Channel 5), The Ultimate Celebrity Power Couples (Channel 5) and Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side (Channel 5).

Recently, Stephen has started ‘Stephen Learns’ videos, which you can see here:

‘He has charisma, he has his own style, he has a wicked line in material and the ability to go off-piste with crowd work that is achingly funny’ **** - One 4 Review

‘This is his strongest show yet. Stephen’s always been funny but it’s so good to see him firing on all cylinders, full of confidence and cheek’ **** - Scotsgay
