Wonderland
Cliffs Pavilion
13th February - 18th February 2017

Starring TV and West End star Wendi Peters (Queen of Hearts), Dave Willetts (White Rabbit) and West End Leading Lady and Britain’s Got Talent Finalist Rachael Wooding (Alice).
Following sold out seasons in Tampa, Texas and Tokyo, the multi-Grammy, Tony and Drama Desk Award-nominated Frank Wildhorn’s Wonderland comes to Southend as part of its UK and European première in this brand-new British production.

Wonderland is an enchanting musical adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass told as a contemporary tale which reflects modern day life.

Alice is a mum who, as she reaches 40, is disillusioned but doesn’t know what to do or how to change.  With the help of her daughter Ellie and neighbour Jack, the three of them find themselves transported into the magical world of Wonderland where they meet White Rabbit, Mad Hatter, Caterpillar, Cheshire Cat, March Hare and of course the Queen of Hearts.

Wonderland is a timely and touching story of love and self-discovery in all its forms, an adventurous exploration of who we are, who we want to be and the power of everyday magic in our lives.
