Martin and Su from Heart Breakfast Show show they 'care with a bear' at Victoria Plaza's Christmas Tree Project launch
A spectacular 22 foot tall tree, adorned with over 1200 soft toys was launched yesterday, 10th November 2016, in The Victoria Shopping Centre, Southend, as part of The Christmas Tree Project that the shopping centre is running with the Cliffs Pavilion.

The soft toys decorating the tree are themed on the Cliffs’ Christmas Pantomime, Robinson Crusoe and the Caribbean Pirates, and these toys will be distributed to a collection of organisations in early January. ‘Donation Stations’ will be placed at the Victoria and at the Cliffs Pavilion with the tagline ‘Show you care with a Bear’ so that the public also can donate brand new cuddly toys.
The organisations to benefit include Southend Hospital’s Neptune Ward, Little Havens Hospice in Benfleet and the Children’s Society.

Representatives from both The Victoria and the Cliffs Pavilion were joined by Martin & Su from Heart Essex Breakfast as well as representatives from some of the organisations benefiting from the project, plus the principal and a small group of children from Westerings Primary Academy (who are supporting the project).
